I believe more photographers should be running their own photo newsletters. I’ve talked about why, and recommended email services to get started. To round out these resources I’ve gathered a list of photo newsletters happening around the web for you to subscribe to.

Craig Mod — Craig is a writer, photographer, and walker based in Japan. He runs a couple newsletters full-time along with a slew of other projects.

  • Roden: Monthly — photography × literature × tech × film
  • Ridgeline: Weekly — walking × Japan (photography always a presence)
  • Craig also runs limited time photo newsletters every so often including huh and TOKIO TŌKYŌ TOKYO (ongoing right now through August 22 – subscribe here). He promotes these through his main newsletters.

Process by Wesley Verhoeve — Photographer and curator Wesley Verhoeve shares a weekly newsletter about photography and finding your voice inspired by his own experience as a professional photographer.

Cole Thompson — Cole is a fine art photographer who specializes in black & white work. His newsletter, while intermittent, shares quotes on the creative process, new work, and thoughts on the photographic life.

Yet Another Memory by Behzod — An image and some words — every weekday.

Stillnotes by Alex Eaton (Disclaimer: This is mine) — A weekly photography newsletter sharing one image and the story behind it. One week you might get an adventure story of how a photo was made, another a technical how-to, or maybe the meaning behind the image.
